Jenna Fischer's most famous role is that of Pam Beesly in the highly popular television series The Office. The actress won two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her outstanding performance by an ensemble comedy.
Her birthplace and childhood was in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne took part in plays at church. She was awed by performance and theater began as a teenager.
Following the conclusion of The Office, Fischer, who is a trained actress in the theater, went back to her home base. The Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. In Steve Martin's latest show Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy featuring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she was then invited to appear in the record-breaking Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
In the month of October, Fischer and The Office cast-mate and real-life best friend Angela Kinsey started an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to become wildly popular, landing on the Top Ten globally every week and gaining over 200 million downloads over its first two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life The Actor's Life is her first book, which chronicles the road she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood and then to Hollywood, where she was an actress professionally. Her second, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography about her closest friend, as well as their time at The Office.
